এদিকে, রোহিঙ্গাদের বাংলাদেশে অনুপ্রবেশ নিয়ে আলোচনার জন্য আগামী সপ্তাহ নাগাদ মিয়ানমার সরকারের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল বাংলাদেশে আসবে বলে পররাষ্ট্র সচিব শহীদুল হক বুধবার (২৭ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেলে জানিয়েছেন।
তবে এ ব্যাপারে পররাষ্ট্রসচিব আর বিস্তারিত কিছুই জানাননি। বাংলাদেশ গেলো কিছুদিন ধরে রোহিঙ্গা সংকটের ব্যাপারে মিয়ানমার সরকারের সাথে সরাসরি আলোচনা করার যে কূটনৈতিক উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে-এটি তারই ফলাফল বলে কর্মকর্তারা জানিয়েছেন।
মিয়ানমারে রাখাইন রাজ্যের রোহিঙ্গা সংকট নিয়ে বৃহস্পতিবার জাতিসংঘ নিরাপত্তা পরিষদের বৈঠকের প্রাক্কালে বুধবার ঢাকায় এর সদস্য রাষ্ট্রসমূহের ঢাকাস্থ রাষ্ট্রদূতদের সাথে বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মাহমুদ আলী বৈঠক করেছেন।
বর্তমানে ঢাকা সফররত জাপানের পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী আইওয়া হোরি রোহিঙ্গা সংকট সমাধানে বাংলাদেশকে জাপান সহায়তা করবে বলে আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন।
